The Boiler Room

Behind this door, the pressure builds. Temperatures rise, warning signs are ignored, and the same damn cycles repeat.

The residents know exactly what they’re doing, even when they don’t understand why they keep doing it.

Self-sabotage, bad decisions, guilty pleasures, and an unhealthy attraction to chaos. They turn up the heat, get burned, and somehow find themselves reaching for the dial again.

Some things are better left to simmer.

Others are destined to boil over.

Meet a resident:

Quick

I’m too quick to allow things to get sexual
too quick to take clothes off
too quick, then understandably regret it all
when I see I’m wrong
too quick to sabotage anything
that might be right
too quick, giving me reason to write
too quick to love the chaos
the way my pen does
too quick to have doubts on everything
too quick to procrastinate on things
I’m supposed to be doing
too quick to shut down
too quick to put my walls of weight
back around
too quick to sit in my own shit
too quick to wallow in it, suffering
too quick to snap out of it
and start the cycle all again
